Analytics Overview

The Analytics page is your hub for workforce insights and reporting. From PPD summaries to overtime, agency usage, missed breaks, and more — this page helps you monitor how your community is performing and identify areas for improvement. Use these reports to make informed decisions that support your staff, improve operations, and ultimately deliver better care.


How to Navigate the Analytics Page

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Go to the Analytics Page
    Navigate to the Reports tab on the left-hand menu and select Analytics.

  2. Browse the Available Reports
    You’ll see a list of available reports, each paired with a trend graph to help visualize patterns over time.

  3. Drill Down into Reports
    Click on any report or line graph title to dive deeper. These drill-downs reveal the individual staff members contributing to the data and give detailed breakdowns.


Report Overviews

PPD Reporting

View which staff contributed to your daily PPD totals. See if shifts were scheduled, unscheduled, or marked absent, and review associated punches, hours worked, and PPD calculations.

Overtime

Identify employees who accrued overtime during the selected week. See the specific day they went into OT, total hours worked, and a breakdown of overtime and double-time hours. Drill down for a full report on each staff member’s punches, OT contributions, absences, and extra time.

Agency

Track agency workers by day and identify which agency they were assigned from.

Extra Time

Monitor employees who clocked in early or clocked out late. Veras counts extra time in 5-minute blocks. For example, if someone clocks in 4 minutes early and leaves on time, it’s not counted. But clocking in 4 minutes early and out 1 minute late would result in 5 minutes of extra time.

Call-Offs

Track when employees called off, how far in advance it was submitted, the reason provided, and any notes.

Missed Breaks

View a list of employees who missed required breaks. You can send a Rich Message directly from the report to initiate a remedy. Remedy statuses include:

  • Needs Remediation

  • Pending

  • Handled

Tardies

See who clocked in late and the number of minutes they were late by.


Other Reports

  • Leaderboard – Recognize top performers based on attendance, punctuality, shift completion, and more.

  • Shift History – Get a full audit trail of shift edits, cancellations, and assignments.

  • Pick-Ups – Measure responsiveness by tracking how quickly open shifts get filled.

  • Credentials - See what employees have credentials expiring soon


Adjusting the Time Frame

Use the Calendar icon at the top-right of the Analytics page to select the time range for most reports.

Note:

  • PPD reports drill down to a single day view.

  • Overtime reports are based on the weekly start date defined in your settings.
