How to Set Up the Mobile App for Time & Attendance

Follow the steps below to enable the mobile app so staff can clock in and out from their mobile devices.


Step 1: Enable the Mobile App

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Select Time & Attendance.

  3. Under Clock In Methods, toggle Mobile App on.

  4. Click Configure on the right side of the mobile app section.


Step 2: Configure Employee Access

  1. Toggle on All employees can use the mobile app to clock in and out by default.

Note: You can override this setting for specific team members if needed.

To remove access for an individual employee:

  1. Click Configure employees under Employee settings.

  2. Search for the employee’s name.

  3. Click the three dots next to their name.

  4. Select Remove from Mobile.

That employee will no longer be able to clock in from the mobile app.


Step 3: Set Up a Geofence

Setting up a geofence ensures staff can only clock in and out when they are physically at your facility.

  1. Select Add Geofence.

  2. Enter a name for the geofence.

  3. Search for your community’s address.

  4. Click and draw a circle around your facility on the map.

  5. Click the map again to complete the circle.

    • If you need to redraw it, select Clear Drawing in the top right corner.

  6. Click Add Geofence to save.

Tip: We recommend making the geofence slightly larger than your building to account for indoor GPS inaccuracies.


You’re all set! Staff can now clock in and out using the mobile app within the designated geofence.
