How to Set Up a Kiosk for Clock In and Clock Out
Follow the steps below to set up a shared kiosk device so team members can clock in and out of their shifts.
Step 1: Enable Kiosk in Settings
Navigate to Settings.
Select Time & Attendance.
Under Clock In Methods, toggle Kiosk on.
Click Configure on the right side of the kiosk section.
Step 2: Configure Kiosk Settings
Toggle on All employees can use kiosks by default.
Select the clock in method:
PIN
Facial recognition
Click Configure employees if you want to customize clock in methods for specific individuals.
Step 3: Add an Announcement (Optional)
You can display a message on the kiosk home screen for staff.
Toggle Show announcement on.
Enter the message you’d like team members to see when clocking in or out.
Step 4: Set Up the Kiosk Device
In the Kiosk section, click Add kiosk.
Enter a name for the device (for example, Front Desk or Break Room). Hit Next.
On the device you plan to use, go to kiosk.veras.com
Enter the one time code displayed to link the device.
Once the code is entered, the kiosk will be activated. We recommend bookmarking the page for easy access in the future.
Click Start using kiosk.
Step 5: Admin Setup for Staff Access
On the kiosk screen, click the Settings button in the bottom right corner.
Log in as an admin.
To set up PIN or facial recognition for staff:
Click the three dots next to the employee’s name
Select Setup PIN or Set up facial recognition
Enter their new PIN or complete facial setup
