What the budget icons on the schedule mean

Read the green, red, yellow and hourglass icons in the Budget row, and fix a day that's off.

Each group on the Schedule has a Budget row. It shows if you have the right number of shifts each day.

What the icons mean

  • Green check: on budget.

  • Blue hourglass: enough shifts are created, but some are still open. Fill them to be on budget.

  • Red down arrow: under budget. Add more shifts.

  • Yellow up arrow: over budget. You have more shifts than you need.

  • Blank: no budget is set for that group and day.

See the details and fix it

  1. On Schedule, click an icon in the Budget row.

  2. A panel opens for that day. Use the All, Under, Over and Open shifts tabs.

  3. Each row says how far off it is, like Under by 2 shifts.

  4. Click a suggestion, like Add open shifts or Remove shifts.

Good to know: A group's icon shows its worst problem. If any part is under budget, the group shows the red arrow.

Common questions

Why is the budget row blank?

No budget is set for that day. See Set up staffing budgets.

Why is it green when I still have open shifts?

Your filled shifts already meet the budget. The open ones are extra.
