Enable Notifications in Veras
Notifications help you stay informed about messages, schedule changes, and approvals in real time. You can customize which notifications you receive and how you receive them.
How to enable notifications on the web
In Veras, select your name in the bottom left corner of the screen
Click User notifications
Toggle on the notifications you want to receive
Notification delivery types
You can receive notifications through one or more of the following methods:
SMS
Sent as text messages to your mobile phone
Best for urgent or time sensitive alerts
Sent to your registered email address
Easy to search, save, and reference later
Push notifications
Appear as instant alerts on your device or browser
Delivered when you are logged in or have notifications enabled
Available user notification categories
You can enable notifications for any of the following events:
New message
New group message
Shift canceled
Shift request approved
Shift request rejected
Shift swap rejected
Shift coverage request approved
Time off request approved
Time off request rejected
Timesheet correction approved
Timesheet correction rejected
Admin and scheduler notifications
If you are an admin or scheduler, you will see additional notification options under Admin notifications. You can toggle these on or off as needed.
Available admin notifications include:
Daily Report Card
Open Shift Request
Time Off Requested
Shift Taken
Accepted Shift Invite
Declined Shift Invite
Staff Called Off Shift
Shift Swap Request
Punch Out of Bounds
How to Enable Notifications in Mobile App
Log into your Veras account through the mobile app. Click on the top left hand profile icon.
Next, you will select Notifications.
Depending on whether you have a User or Admin account, select the account for which you want to enable notifications. Click User, then toggle the desired notifications.
Note: You can select Test Notifications to receive an instant notification and confirm that notifications are enabled.
Push notification testing
You can use the Push notification test option to confirm that push notifications are working correctly.
Important note:
To receive push notifications on your phone, make sure notifications are enabled for Veras in your device’s system settings.
