Before you start
Download the Veras mobile app and log in — see How to Download and Log in to the Veras Mobile App.
If you can't sign in at all, that's a different problem — see Can't Log in to the Veras app.
See today's shifts on the Home tab
The Home tab shows only today's shifts — not the ones coming up later this week. It's the fastest way to check what you're working today.
Open the Veras app and tap the Home tab.
Under Today's Shifts, review any shifts scheduled for today.
You'll see today's shifts only. For any shift after today, open the Schedule tab (next section).
See all upcoming shifts on the Schedule tab
The Schedule tab lists every upcoming shift by month. The month shown at the top controls which shifts you see.
Tap Schedule at the bottom of the app.
Check the month shown at the top of the Schedule tab.
If it shows a future month, tap the back arrow (<) until you reach the current month.
Scroll down to see all your shifts for that month, with each shift's time, area, and notes.
Your shifts for the current month appear, listed by date. Note: If the Schedule tab is set to a future month, it shows "No shifts scheduled for this period" even when you have shifts coming up — tap the back arrow to return to the current month.
Open the Schedule Calendar for a month view
The calendar icon in the top-right corner opens a month-by-month calendar. It follows the same rule — a future month with no shifts shows nothing.
A calendar opens. Colored dots mark the days you have shifts — green for scheduled, orange for open. If you don't see any dots, scroll back to the current month.
Common questions
Q: The Schedule tab says "No shifts scheduled for this period." What's wrong?
A: You might be viewing a future month. Tap the back arrow (<) at the top of the Schedule tab until you reach the current month, then scroll down to see your shifts.
Q: Why does the Home tab only show one shift, or none?
A: The Today's Shifts section on the Home tab only shows shifts scheduled for today. To see upcoming shifts, tap Schedule at the bottom of the app.
Q: I've checked the month and my schedule is still blank. What now?
A: Your shifts may not be published yet, or you may not be assigned to any. Ask your scheduler to confirm you're scheduled and that the schedule has been published. Veras doesn't send a notification when shifts are published, so reopen the app to check once they confirm.
Q: What do the colored dots in the calendar mean?
A: A green dot marks a day with a scheduled shift, and an orange dot marks a day with an open shift. A day with both shows both colors. Tap a date to see the shift details.
