Stay organized by keeping track of your work schedule in one place. View Today's Shifts, Requested Shifts, Shift Swap Requests, Coverage Requests & Time off requests (If applicable for your facility)
Schedule
View and manage your Upcoming Shifts.
1. Tap on the Schedule tab, and then tap the My Schedule button at the top to view your own scheduled shifts.
2. You can select the Calendar Icon on the right hand side to open up the entire Month View and see all of your upcoming shifts for that month.
Note: A line beneath the day indicates that you have a scheduled shift for that day.
In addition, if enabled for your facility, you can request time off from the My Schedule page. Simply click the time off airplane icon in the top left corner to get started.
3. You can tap on any shift to open the shift details. This will show you information like your Area & Assignment as well as any Notes for the shift.
If you are unable to work a shift, you can tap the Can't work this shift? button. You will then see options to Request a Trade, or Post for Pickup
Requesting a trade allows you to pick a shift that another staff member is working, and request to trade your shift for theirs. The other staff member will be able to accept or reject your trade request.
Posting a shift for pickup will post your shift as a Coverage request, where other staff members can see it and choose to pick it up for you if they wish.
In either case, remember that you are still responsible for the shift until your trade or coverage request is approved by your scheduler.
To view everyone's schedule, simply select the Everyone's Schedule button. Here you can see everyone that is scheduled and you can filter how you view this by using the filter button at the bottom right of the screen.
Note that the availability of this shared calendar feature depends on your community's settings. If you don't see this option, it may not be enabled for your community. Contact your administrator or the Veras support team for more information.
To jump to a date in the future, simply tap the date shown at the top of your screen.

Messages
Stay connected with colleagues and administrators through in-app messaging. Quickly share updates and keep important conversations in one place
Tap on the Messages tab. Note that your number of unread messages will be indicated in a badge above the messages icon.
2. Click pencil icon to draft a New Message. You choose to start a Channel, or send a Direct Message to 1-10 people.
3. If you have unread messages in any of your channels or direct messages, that will be indicated with a badge next to the conversation. To view existing conversations, simply tap on the Channel or Direct Message you wish to open. From there, you can read and reply to messages, send images, and accept or reject shared shifts.
Open Shifts
Browse Shifts that are available for pickup. You can easily Request shifts that align with your availability to maximize your work hours.
1. Tap the Open Shifts tab
2. You can scroll through the list to view open shifts that are available. Tap on any shift to view the shift details and Request the shift, or Request part of the shift.
You can select the calendar icon to quickly jump to a specific day, or use the gear icon to organize and filter the open shifts by different parameters.
Profile
On your Profile page, you can:
Upload a profile photo
Add credentials and licenses
Adjust your notification preferences
If you're in management (such as a scheduler or admin), you'll also have the option to switch to Staff View β allowing you to see the platform exactly as your staff does.
