Before you start
This is for Administrators who work across more than one department in Veras.
The steps work the same in the mobile app and the desktop app. The screenshots below show the mobile app; the desktop layout looks a little different but has the same two filters.
The Home dashboard and the Schedule page each have their own department filter. Setting one does not set the other.
For the full set of Schedule filters on the web, see How to Use the Schedule Filters.
Set the department filter on the Home dashboard
The Home dashboard shows one department at a time. When you sign in, Veras picks the first department in your list — often not the one you work in. Set it to your department to see the right numbers.
On the Home tab, find the Department dropdown near the top.
Open the dropdown, then select your department (for example, Nursing).
The dashboard updates to show staff, shifts, and hours for the department you picked.
Set the department filter on the Schedule page
The Schedule page has its own department filter, separate from the dashboard. Even when the dashboard is set to your department, the Schedule page can still be set to a different one — which is why it can say "No shifts were found with the current filters."
Go to the Schedule page, then open the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Select your department from the list (for example, Nursing).

Your shifts appear on the Schedule page. If it still says "No shifts were found with the current filters," check the Common questions below.
Common questions
Q: I'm an administrator and my schedule is empty. Why?
A: The most common cause is the department filter. The Home dashboard and the Schedule page each have their own filter — set both to your department.
Q: The Schedule page says "No shifts were found with the current filters." What do I check?
A: Open the gear icon on the Schedule page and set the department filter to your department. This filter is separate from the one on the Home dashboard, so setting the dashboard does not set it.
Q: I set my department but it reset. Why?
A: Your filter choices save when you close and reopen the app. They reset when you sign out and sign back in — you'll need to set them again.
