How to use the Schedule Filters

Schedule filters in Veras make it easy to view the schedule the way you need, giving you the right context to schedule effectively and efficiently.

Accessing Filters

  1. Go to the Schedule page.

  2. Click the Filters button (next to the Position dropdown).

  3. The Filters drawer will open, where you can filter by:

    • Areas

    • Shift Templates

    • Time of Day Segments

    • Staff Members

These filters let you drill down into specific areas, shifts, or people for a clearer view.


Organizing and Displaying Staff

Within the Filters drawer, you’ll also find options to control how staff are displayed:

  • Always Show All Staff

    • Ensures all staff appear in the schedule, even if they don’t have relevant shifts in the current view.

  • Group by Staff Members

    • When enabled, staff will be listed on the left-hand side.

    • You can sort them by criteria such as:

      • First Name (A–Z)

      • Last Name (Z–A)

      • Hire Date (Jr–Sr)

      • And more

  • Without Group by Staff

    • Staff will not appear on the left-hand side.

    • Instead, shifts will be grouped according to your selected “Group By” option

      • This option is especially useful if you want to see how each Area is staffed at a glance.


Shift Item Display

You will also have the ability to change how the shifts are displayed. Here are the options!

  • Shift time only – Shows the shift with a colored line representing the area.

  • Shift time in a box – Shows the shift times inside a colored area box.

  • Box only – Displays only the area the shift belongs to (no times).
