In this article we will cover all the new updates that were released this week.

Customize Schedule Views

We’ve made it easier to tailor the schedule to your personal preferences!

In the top right corner of the Schedule, click the three-dot menu. You’ll now see a Customize option in the dropdown. From here, you can choose the layout that works best for you:

Shift Times Only

Shift Times with Boxes

Boxes Only

Pick the view that suits your workflow and make the schedule truly yours.

Time Off Updates

Request Time Off for a Date Range

Users can now request time off across a range of dates—no more submitting individual requests for each day! When applicable, schedulers will see the full date range and can approve or deny the request as a whole.

Note: These time off requests apply to Veras only and will not sync with your external HR platform.

Approved Time Off Automatically Opens Shifts

When time off is approved, any assigned shifts during that period will automatically be moved to Open Shifts. For schedulers and managers, Veras will display a list of affected shifts during the approval process so you’ll know exactly what’s being opened up.

Archiving Staff Now Frees Up Their Shifts

When a staff member is manually archived, any future shifts they were assigned to will automatically move to Open Shifts. This ensures nothing gets lost in the shuffle and makes reassigning coverage easy for schedulers.
