Handling Call-Offs efficiently is key to keeping your facility running smoothly. Veras streamlines the process of logging absences and finding replacements, whether from your team or an agency. Here’s how it works:
Step by Step Instructions
1. Go to Schedule on the left side of the screen.
2. Find the shift that needs to be marked as a call-off and select it
3. Click on the Add call-off button
4. This will bring up the Add a Call-Off form where you select from a list of Reasons for the call-off. You can also add any additional Notes relating to the Call-Off, then click Continue
5. You can select from filters like All CNAs, All Agency, No overtime, Working Same day, Not schedule same day or All PRNs
Note: You can select one or combine multiple filters
OR you can select individuals you would like to share the shift with
6. You can toggle on Include a message and customize the message that sends out with the shared shift
Note: Messages will send out to each individual and include their first name when the First Name placeholder is used
7. Click on Save and Send and that will mark the call-off and send the option to pick up the shift to everyone you have selected
8. Individuals that you shared the shift will receive a message in the Veras App where they will be able to Accept or Reject the shift you have sent
9. As soon as one person Accepts the Shift, that shift will be added to their schedule
10. If someone else tries to accept the shift, it will say The invited shift is no longer available
