Product Update: Sharing Shifts, AI assist in messaging & more!

This article will cover the new features around sharing open shifts and the AI suggestions within messaging

Updated over 8 months ago

We’re excited about this week’s updates! We’ve introduced a quick and easy way for schedulers to invite employees to pick up shifts, and for employees to accept shifts that are immediately reflected on the schedule. Additionally, we’ve added AI assistance in Messaging to help manage call-offs! Below, we’ll dive into more details about these new features.

Sharing Shifts

We’re thrilled to introduce this highly requested feature! Here’s how it works:

  1. Navigate to the open shift you want to share.

  2. Click the "Share Shift" button from the shift preview.

  3. Choose who you’d like to send the shift to. You can send it to specific individuals, or select from groups like all CNAs or employees not in overtime. You’ll also see top suggestions for who might be best suited for the shift.

  4. An actionable message will be sent to the selected staff member, giving them the option to accept or reject the shift.

  5. If they accept, the shift will automatically be assigned to them!

AI Call-off Assist

We’re continuing to leverage AI to make life easier for both schedulers and clinicians, and we’re excited to share this latest update! When an employee needs to call off—due to illness, for example—AI will now recognize the request and suggest initiating a call-off. This allows you to quickly send out an invite to other staff to cover the shift.

This feature is currently in Beta and is continuously being enhanced.

We’d love for you to try it out and share your feedback with us, as we’re always looking to improve the experience!

Edit and Delete Shift Buttons

We have changed where the edit and delete buttons are located on the shift preview. We are hoping this small change will make your experience quicker and easier when creating the schedule!
