Send a private message

Message one person, or a small group of up to 10, on web or phone.

On the web

  1. Click Messages in the left menu.

  2. Next to Direct messages, click +.

  3. Search for someone, or use All departments or Working today to filter.

  4. Check each person, up to 9.

  5. Type your message and click Send.

On the phone

  1. Tap Messages.

  2. Tap the pencil icon, then Send a Direct Message (1-10 people).

  3. Check each person, then tap Continue.

  4. Type your message and tap send.

Good to know: Need more than 9 people? Start a channel instead.

Common questions

I can't find an old conversation.

The list shows your 15 most recent, plus unread ones. Search by name to find older ones.

Can I delete a message?

Yes, hover over your message and click Delete message. You can't delete a whole conversation.

What does Working today do?

It shows only people working today.
