What are the options in the three dot menu for an individual staff member?

When you click the three dots next to a staff member’s name on the schedule, you’ll see several tools designed to help you manage their schedule efficiently:

  • Publish/Unpublish Shifts
    Quickly publish this staff member’s shifts to make them visible in the app, or unpublish them to return the shifts to draft mode.

  • Apply Master Schedule
    Generate shifts based on the employee’s assigned schedule template (e.g., fixed days or rotation).

  • Add New Shifts
    Create new shifts specifically for this staff member

  • Unassign Shifts
    Remove scheduled shifts for the employee. You’ll have the option to delete the shifts or convert them to open shifts.

  • Add Time Off
    Mark specific days as unavailable for the staff member — helpful for sick days, or planned absences.
    *This will not speak back to the HRIS

  • Archive Worker
    Remove the staff member from active scheduling. All future shifts will become open shifts, but past shifts will remain visible for audit and historical tracking.

  • Assign Open Shifts
    Bulk assign open shifts to this staff member. If shift preferences are set up, preferred shifts will be flagged to help with scheduling.


These tools are perfect for making quick adjustments to individual staff schedules — no need to use bulk actions unless you're managing large groups.
