Before you start
You need scheduling permissions for the community. If you can't open a shift, ask an admin to update your role.
Shift history is available for both draft and published shifts.
How to view shift history
Go to the Schedule tab and click the shift you want to review. A preview window appears.
Click the pencil icon in the shift preview to open the edit window.

In the edit window, click the Shift history icon. A panel opens on the left side showing a full record of changes to that shift.

Each entry shows what field was edited, who made the change, and when — so you can trace every update back to a specific user and time.
Common Questions
Q: What types of changes appear in Shift history?
A: Any edit made inside the shift edit window is recorded — including changes to the assigned worker, position, date, shift template, status, areas, incentives, and notes.
Q: Can staff members see Shift history?
A: No. The Shift history panel is only visible to Schedulers and Administrators inside the edit window. Staff see shift details in the Veras app but not the history of edits.
Q: The Edit pencil icon isn't showing up. What's wrong?
A: You may not have scheduling permissions for this community. Ask an admin to check your role.
Q: Does Shift history show changes made before I started using Veras?
A: Shift history shows changes made in Veras from the time the shift was created. It doesn't capture edits made outside the system or before the shift existed in Veras.
